Imatinib is the key ingredient of Imanib which is a small molecule kinase inhibitor and used for the treatment of multiple types of cancer. This drug is been approved as a treatment for Philadelphia chromosome in every category. Types of cancer cured by Imanib are Leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors and myelodysplastic. This slow down the growth process of cancer cells and reduces the size of it which helps in further development of cancer cells.
