Tenoric 100mg tab(Atenolol, Chlorthalidone) 

Tenoric 100mg is made by IPCA laboratories and is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It contains two salts namely atenolol 50mg by volume and chlorthalidone 12.5mg by volume. Atenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone acts as a diuretic which helps in lowering blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Further it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. 

Irregular intake of this medicine causes some side effects. These side effects are nausea, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, dizziness, cold extremities, increased blood uric acid, glucose intolerance, slow heart rate, increased calcium, magnesium, sodium level in blood.

This drug has tendency to react with alcohol so be careful. Women’s on breast feeding should avoid sometimes result may vary so its better to avoid. People affected with kidney disease should avoid this drug as it may show variation in your kidney results.
