Vertin 8mg Tab (Betahistine)
Vertin 8mg is made by abbott and is
used in the treatment of vertigo and Meniere’s disease. Its main ingredient is
Betahistine and is used to reduce the episodes of vertigo associated with Meniere’s
disease. It acts as a hitamine analog and works by improving the blood flow in
the inner ear which reduces the excess pressure of fluid. This excess flowing
fluid can send signals to the brain that causes nausea, dizziness, or spinning
sensations. Additionally it helps in dampening the nerve signal sent from the
inner ear to the brain.
Some side effects caused by this
drug are headache, nausea, dyspepsia.
