Losacar –H Tab (Losartan, Hydrochlorothiazide) 

Losacar –H is made by Zydus Cadila and is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It is a combination of two medicines namely Losartan which is 50mg by volume and Hydrochlorothiazide which is 12.5mg by volume. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker(ARB) and blocks the hormone angiotensin by relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly than before and makes heart to pump more efficiently.  

Take this medicine as a whole and dosages should be adjusted by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food but it is important to take at a fixed time.

Side effects caused by this are nausea, taste change, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, increased blood uric acid, increased blood lipid level, glucose intolerance, electrolyte imbalance.
