Respidon 4mg Tab (Risperidone)

Respidon 4mg is made by Torrent Pharmaceuticals and is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and mania. Its main ingredient is Risperidone and it acts as an antipsychotic. Functionally, it affects the levels of chemical messenger present in our body called dopamine and serotonin. It improves mood, thoughts and behavior of a person.

Take this medicine as a whole and dosages should be adjusted by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food but it is important to take at a fixed time. Doses shouldn’t be exceeded in case if any dose is missed instead it should be replaced with the next dose. 

You should inform your doctor about your all medicinal history and then you should continue. Some side effects caused by this drug are dizziness, sleepiness, orthostatic hypotension, dryness in mouth, weight gain, constipation, muscle rigidity, restlessness, tremor.
