Farmorubicin a product by Pfizer Ltd. consist of epirubicin as a main ingredient. It is an anti-cancer medicine which used in the treatment of breast cancer. Farmorubicin works by suppressing the action of an enzyme(topoisomerase II) which is involved in the DNA Multiplication of breast cancer cells. This also forms harmful chemical which damages the DNA and thus stops the further growth of breast cancer cells and eventually kills them.

Some common side effects suffered by the patients are rash, vomiting, conjunctivitis, nausea, mouth sore, hair loss, absence of menstrual period, diarrhea, hot flashes.
