Repace is made by Sun Pharma and is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It is a combination of two medicines namely Losartan which is 50mg by volume and Hydrochlorothiazide which is 12.5mg by volume. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker(ARB) and blocks the hormone angiotensin by relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly than before and makes heart to pump more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Lateron it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
