AZR 50mg tab is made by IPCA Laboratories which is used in prevention of organ rejection in transplant patients and rheumatoid arthritis. Its main ingredient is Azathioprine that acts as an immunosuppressant. It reduces the action of body’s own defense system and helps in preventing rejection of transplanted organ. It also blocks the action of certain chemical messenger that are responsible for inflammation, swelling and redness associated with certain joints related to certain joint diseases..

Side effects are nausea, fungal infection, bacterial infection, viral infection, decreased white blood cell count and low blood platelets.
